- At this point in the movie the writer i have been able to notice how there is a sense of wonder in the characters. the characters seem lost and in the faze of recreating what they have last remembered. Within the first couple of chapters of the movie Joel and Clementine are just meeting and getting to know each other. So you get this idea of love and first site. Though what we don't understand is how Clementine becomes to forget about Joel. Clementine seems to be this very spontaneous type of person who tries to live life in the moment while Joel is a more simple person who doesn't really care. But makes Clementine feel horrible for the way she is and to this point she can not take it and is unhappy.
- In my short screenplay i would say the technique i may be able to use is by using the indirect character, because i find it to seem a bit more understanding and not yet so confusing, as to the direct character it may be a bit more of an out there type of situation.
- I feel that a few ways that Charlie Kaufman handles the plots are by flash back. From the start of the movie you see Joel and Clementine having a good time. Then when he drops her off someone knocks on his window door. Not knowing who it is ignores it well later on the same character reappears. He lets us start to understand the characters while trying to find everything that reminds Joel of Clementine and they review their past. At this point Joel is in a confused state and while Joel is getting his mind wiped of clementine its seems that everything is reappearing to herself.
- The limitations to a short film are time, how much you actually have compacted into your play, Just the biggest things may take up too much
